The app
Your sound stays on your computer
Mic Merge mixes your microphones live, on your own computer. It doesn't record anything, and the sound from your mics is never sent to us or anyone else.
Your settings
The mics and settings you choose are saved in a file named mic-merge.json, next to the app. It stays on your computer.
What the app sends
To know how many people use Mic Merge, the app sends one small message to our server when it starts, and once a day while it keeps running, with:
- a random ID, made the first time you run the app;
- the platform (Windows);
- the app's build number.
The ID is kept in a folder named mic-merge: in %APPDATA%\mic-merge. Deleting that folder resets it. Our hosting provider works out your country from your IP address. We don't store your IP address, and we delete these counts after 40 days. They're never sold or shared.
This website
To know how many people visit, each page view sends one small message to our server with:
- a random ID made by your browser the first time you visit, kept in your browser's storage;
- the page's address, and the domain of the website that sent you here, if any;
- your country, worked out from your IP address by our hosting provider, and your browser, operating system and device type, read from your browser's user agent.
We don't store your IP address or your user agent, and we delete these counts after 40 days. They're never sold or shared.
No cookies, ads or trackers
Neither the app nor this website uses cookies, ads or anyone else's trackers.
